| Lynne joined the NSCG in 2004. Around the age of 15, she started making her own clothes, always altering the paper patterns so as to make the garments ‘hers’. Textile art developed into a passion as she became fascinated with colours and textures, and fabrics that had a WOW factor or that something special about them. |

| Lynne now creates her own fabrics using many techniques including block printing, appliqué, faux chenille and machine embroidery to create one-off wearable art garments and accessories, while intuitively varying the use of colours or fabric layouts each time so that everything she makes is truly one of a kind. |

Lynne also uses antique fabric pieces, these come from the collections of ladies who once wore ‘long frocks’ to dances back in the 1940s, 50s and 1960s. You can’t buy these wonderful fabrics anymore. She always incorporates some of these special fabrics in every machine embroidered or collaged jacket that she makes, to add that special touch which helps to make them unique wearable art pieces.
Lynne’s garments have featured in Australian Machine Embroidery Magazine (one of which was the cover story), and among her clientele is Dame Diana Rigg who purchased one of her jackets. |

She is also interested in creating beads using various methods including fabric embossing, and freeform peyote stitch beading.
Lynne has attended many workshops on design techniques and practical applications including block printing and screen printing, machine embroidery, colour and design, felt making and pattern making, freeform beading as well as jewellery making.
