Penel began working with seed beads in the 1980s and this eventually led to a desire to make her own glass beads. After a brief introductory course in 2001, she immediately set up her own studio and in 2003 began her business, Fire Bird Beads.
Penel continues to work with seed bead needleweaving as well as glass and in the last few years has begun to make marbles, scent bottles, paperweights and small sculptural pieces as well as her beads and jewellery. |
