Diane describes herself as Artist, Teacher, Curator, Writer and Textile Collector.  Educated at The National Art School and Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education, she has taught Art in secondary schools.  She joined the NSCG in 2007.

Diane has conducted workshops in textile related areas all over Australia.  She has written, published and appeared in books, journals and magazines. 

Diane has exhibited in one woman shows and joint exhibitions since 1975.

A collector of antique textiles and related materials (buttons, costumes, lace etc), her main interest is in using these textiles as inspiration in her artworks.  She also uses printmaking and fabric embellishment.
