Brenda joined the NSCG in 2006. Although coming from a medical and science background, Brenda has always loved making decorative objects.
Her love affairs with arts and crafts started with quilting and embroidery and progressed through pottery, painting and fabric manipulation until she discovered glass and precious metals.
Over the past 7 years, Brenda has concentrated on making glass beads, kiln formed glass and silver jewellery. She particularly enjoys combining glass and metals.

Brenda has been teaching glass bead making and basic jewellery construction techniques at various North Shore venues including Ku-Ring-Gai Arts Centre and The Workshop Arts Centre since 2003. She also teaches in southern Sydney at Finn’s Art Glass.
Brenda has demonstrated glass bead making at the Sydney Stitches and Craft Show and at the Beadaholics Retreat in Canberra. Examples of her work have been published in the Australian magazine, Beads Etc. |
